The Frostick Method · A guided programme

You are here because something happened. Or because you already know something has to change.

A health scare. A redundancy. Or the quiet, insistent knowledge that the life you built no longer fits. However you arrived, you are standing at a decision, and the hardest part is that it will not make itself. The Frostick Method is the four-month programme that helps you make it, built on the method I used to rebuild my own life after it nearly ended.

The founding cohort opens in autumn 2026, capped and one time only. Join the waiting list for first access and the founding-member rate.

Why you're here

You came through one of three doors.

Door one

Something stopped you

A health scare. A diagnosis. A body that finally refused to keep the pace. The decision got made for you, in the most frightening way there is, and now you are in the aftermath asking what the rest of your life is for.

Door two

The decision was made for you

Redundancy. A restructure. A role that disappeared out from under you. You did not choose the timing, and underneath the practical scramble is a harder question about who you are without the title.

Door three

You know, but you can't say what

Nothing has happened. On paper, nothing is wrong, and that is exactly the problem. But there is a quiet, insistent sense that the life you built no longer fits, and pretending otherwise is getting harder.

However you arrived, the work from here is the same. The method does not care which door you came through. It rebuilds you first, then finds the second act that actually fits.

The part no one says out loud

The decision will not make itself. I learned that the hard way.

In 2021, I waited. I could feel that something was wrong, the way you can feel it now, and I did what people like us do. I pushed the thought down and got on with the work. In the end my body made the decision I would not. It stopped, on a Sunday afternoon, and very nearly did not start again.

You built a career around who you were. It no longer fits who you have become.

I am not telling you that to frighten you. I am telling you because I know how this goes when it is left alone. The question does not resolve on its own. It waits, and it gets more expensive. Another month pointed in the wrong direction is a month you do not get back, at work and at home, and some part of you already knows that, or you would not have read this far.

So here is the honest good news. You do not have to blow up your life today. You do not have to have the answer. You have to make one decision, the small one that changes everything after it: to stop waiting. That is the whole of the first step. The method walks you through the rest.

Why listen to me

While I was recovering, I wrote it down. Millions of people read it.

I had spent two decades running global transformation programmes for one of the largest banks in the world. What stopped me that Sunday was the direct result of it, and I knew it.

From a hospital bed I wrote down what I had realised about work, and what it had cost me. I did not expect anyone to read it. Instead it reached millions of people and was covered by the international press, because it named something a lot of senior people were feeling and had no words for.

What followed was my own second act. Not a tidy one. But a real one, built on a method I worked out because I needed it. That method is what this programme is.

Why nothing has worked yet

You have been looking in the wrong place.

Recruiters and job boards, a plan borrowed from someone who did it once, the well-meaning advice to just push through. Whatever door you came through, the instinct is the same: to look outward for the answer, as if it were a role or a plan you simply have not found yet. That is exactly why it does not work.

The nearest solid ground

After a shock, the pull is to grab whatever steadies you fastest: the first role offered, the obvious lateral, the safe version of what you already did. It quiets the panic. It rarely fits.

Advice from people who knew the old you

Everyone around you, however kind, reflects back the version of you that is ending. They cannot see who you are becoming, because you cannot quite see it yet either.

"Just push through" is what got you here

The instinct that built the first act cannot design the second. It only knows how to do more of the same, harder.

After twenty or thirty years of achieving, adapting and becoming who everyone else needed, most people have simply lost track of who they actually are now. Whatever brought you here, the next chapter does not become clear until you rebuild that. Which is the whole of what we do.

The method

The Frostick Method. Four movements, in order.

This is the method I built to rebuild my own life after 2021, since refined with everyone I have taken through it. It is not a mindset shift or a good weekend of thinking. Each movement produces a concrete deliverable that moves you forward. Most people who have circled this question for years say the same thing when they finish: it was there all along.

Movement 01

Locate

Get honest about where you actually are. What is draining you, what you are carrying out of habit or identity or fear, and what this moment is genuinely trying to tell you.

You finish with your Second Act Map.
Movement 02

Recover The part no one else teaches

Before any big decision, you rebuild the foundation: energy, health, boundaries, and the capacity to think clearly again. Every other career programme skips this. It is the reason theirs so often lead people straight into the next version of the same exhaustion. It is also the part I am least willing to let you skip.

You finish with your Recovery Baseline.
Movement 03

Reimagine

With a clear head and an honest map, you work out what a second act built around who you are now must contain. Not a job title borrowed from a list. The specific shape of work and life that actually fits.

You finish with your Realignment Blueprint.
Movement 04

Restart

You turn the decision into motion. Concrete first moves, sequenced, with the support to make them, whether that is a role, a pivot, an advisory portfolio or something of your own.

You finish with your 90-Day Restart Plan.
The shape of it

How your four months run.

One movement a month. Not a daily grind, that is the opposite of Recover. A clear focus for each month, and something concrete in your hands at the end of it.

Month one

Locate

Get honest about where you actually are and what this moment is telling you.

You finish with your Second Act Map.
Month two

Recover

Rebuild energy, health and clear thinking before any big decision.

You finish with your Recovery Baseline.
Month three

Reimagine

Work out what a second act built around who you are now must contain.

You finish with your Realignment Blueprint.
Month four

Restart

Turn the decision into motion, with concrete first moves and support to make them.

You finish with your 90-Day Restart Plan.
What you get

Everything the four months include.

01

The full guided course

Every movement delivered as self-paced video and audio lessons you work through in your own time, built for people with demanding jobs and no spare hours.

02

A monthly live group call with me

A working session each month where I take the group through the current movement and answer whatever is in the way.

03

The Second Act Playbook

Your 30-day workbook for the first month, Locate, with a prompt, a reflection and one small action for every day.

04

A small, private cohort

Senior people working through the same question at the same time. The quiet value most people do not expect, and end up prizing most.

05

Every deliverable, in hand

You finish with all four: your Second Act Map, your Recovery Baseline, your Realignment Blueprint and your 90-Day Restart Plan.

06

The templates and tools

Every worksheet and template the method uses, yours to keep and reuse whenever the ground shifts again.

Honestly

Who this is, and is not, for.

This is for you if

  • Something forced the question, a health scare or a redundancy, and you want to come out of it pointed somewhere that fits, not just landed anywhere.
  • Or nothing forced it, but you know the life you built no longer fits, and you are done pretending otherwise.
  • You have circled this long enough and now want to answer it properly and move.
  • You are willing to do the work, including the uncomfortable, honest part.

This is not for you if

  • You want the fastest exit rather than the right one, the first thing that pays, whatever it costs you later.
  • You want practical help with a move you have already decided on, a CV tidy or a LinkedIn polish.
  • You are hoping someone will hand you the decision so you do not have to make it.
  • You are not ready to look at the harder question sitting underneath the practical one.

Two ways in. One decision.

If you are thinking

The honest answers to what you are probably thinking.

"I could probably work this out on my own."

Perhaps. And if you were going to, you would have by now. That is not a criticism, it is the same truth that applies to almost everyone who arrives here after trying everything else. This is a specific method, not something you arrive at by thinking harder in the same direction, any more than you would work out a language you were never taught simply by concentrating.

"The timing is not right."

It rarely is. There is always a project finishing, a quarter ending, a reason to wait for things to clarify. They will not. And every month spent pointed in the wrong direction costs more than standing still. What makes this the right moment is not your diary. It is that you are still reading.

"I am not sure I can justify the investment."

Consider what the question is already costing you. Not in money, but in years of work that consumes your time and rewards you a little less each one. The people who come through this are not people for whom the fee is the real issue. They have been paying a different kind of cost, for a long time, in the wrong place. The payment plan exists so the commitment never arrives as a single sum.

"I am not sure it will work for me specifically."

This is the most common concern and the most consistently proved wrong. The method is not built on inspiration or motivation. It is built on something more durable: identifying who you actually are now, then matching that to what exists. That does not require belief to work. It requires you to show up for yourself the way you have always shown up for everyone else.

Jonny Frostick
Who I am

Hi, I'm Jonny Frostick.

I spent more than twenty years leading complex transformation for global financial institutions, at director and senior level, the kind of work that looks impressive on paper and quietly takes everything you have.

In 2021 my body forced the issue. What came next was not a neat pivot but a real reinvention, and the method I built to get through it is the one I now take people through. I host the Life 2.0 podcast, I write about this most weeks, and I build this programme for the version of me who did not see it coming and had to work it all out alone.

You should not have to do that alone. That is the entire point of this.

Reinvent. Realign. Rise.
Before you ask

Questions people ask first.

How much time does it take?

The programme is built for busy senior people. Around two to three hours a week: short bursts of self-paced work plus the monthly live call if you want it that month. The calls are recorded, so nothing is lost if you cannot make one.

Do I need to know what I want to do next?

Not at all. It works whether you have no idea, or an idea you want to test before committing. The method establishes whether you need a slight pivot or a complete change of direction, and what the right choice is within that.

Is this only for people who want to start a business?

No. It supports every outcome: staying employed in the right role, moving to a pivot, building an advisory portfolio, or starting something of your own. The method identifies what is right for you first, then supports the direction it points to.

Will it work for my sector or level?

The method is not tied to any one sector or role. It works for senior people across corporate, public and creative backgrounds, because it starts from who you are rather than which industry you happen to be in.

What is the difference between the two tiers?

The Programme gives you the full method, the cohort and the monthly group call. Programme + Coaching adds three private sessions with me, for the movements where one to one attention makes the most difference. If you want the whole thing done privately, that is the 1:1 option.

The clock is running

Every month in the wrong direction is a month you do not get back.

The question you can feel but have not yet answered will not resolve itself. Four months from now you could have the answer, or be exactly where you are.

First access and the one-time founding-member rate. No noise, and you can leave whenever you like.

The founding cohort opens autumn 2026, capped at 12 places and one time only. Waiting-list members get first access and the founding-member rate before it moves to the standard price.
